StorageMart Buys Self-Storage Facility in Omaha, NE

StorageMart, a Columbia, Mo.-based self-storage operator with more than 165 facilities in Canada and the United States, has purchased Cherry Hills Storage in Omaha, Neb. The company now operates five storage properties in the city. The seller was Jasper Stone Partners, an Omaha-based real estate investment firm.

The property at 10010 Scott Circle consists of 531 storage units, some of which are climate-controlled. It was built in phases between 2005 and 2007.

StorageMart recently purchased facilities in Ankeny, Iowa; Blue Springs, Mo.; and Omaha, Neb., which includes more than 550,000 square feet of gross rentable space.

John Arnold, Bill Bellomy and Michael Johnson of commercial real estate brokerage Bellomy & Co. represented StorageMart in the transaction. With offices in Austin, Houston and Lubbock, Texas, the firm focuses on the sale of self-storage, industrial, office and retail properties nationwide.

Founded in 1999, StorageMart serves more than 75,000 self-storage customers. The company operates in Chinese, English, Punjabi, Quebecois French and Spanish, according to a company press release.
