The Box Self Storage Services LLC, which operates facilities in Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has partnered with Meydan Free Zone, a UAE government-sponsored business incubator and digital platform designed to help e-commerce startups grow in Dubai. The collaboration allows clients to take advantage of business services provided by The Box and rent storage units at a 30% discount, according to a press release.
The Box provides adaptable unit sizes that allow business users to adjust their rented space based on seasonal demand and performance. It also offers workspace as well as call-center, order-fulfillment, transportation and package-supply services. Access to electricity, Wi-Fi and storage eliminates the need to obtain separate licenses or set up utility services, the release stated. Participating businesses will be able to access The Box services through the Meydan digital platform.
“It’s an exciting time for both organizations as we embark on this new frontier,” said Hamed Ahli, head of Meydan. “Together with The Box, we will bring to life our vision of advanced and efficient storage systems accessible to all. Complementing the ongoing initiatives of Meydan Free Zone, this collaboration opens up fresh opportunities for companies seeking to grow from Dubai.”
“We are thrilled about this partnership, as it aligns perfectly with our mission to empower e-commerce startups in the region,” said Wadih Haddad, founder and CEO of The Box. “By providing competitive licensing options, along with storage, order fulfillment and last-mile delivery all in one place, we aim to streamline the business-setup process for these entrepreneurs.”
