StorQuest Self Storage Features Skateboarding Legend Tony Hawk in New Marketing Campaign

The William Warren Group (WWG), a privately held real estate company that operates the StorQuest Self Storage brand, is featuring skateboard legend Tony Hawk in a marketing segment called “Live a Life Worth Storing.” The operator has created a dedicated web page and video that highlight the contents of Hawk’s actual storage unit and his experience being a StorQuest customer.

The unit is filled with memorabilia displayed on shelves, tables and walls. Items span Hawk’s career as a world champion, video-game character, entrepreneur and philanthropist, and include his first signature skate deck, X-Games medals, copies of his Birdhouse skating-compilation videos and even a gondola from Mammoth Mountain. “This isn’t just a collection of stuff,” Hawk says during the video. “It’s a collection of experiences.”

“At StorQuest, our whole philosophy can be summed up in one statement: Make room in your life for awesome things to happen,” said StorQuest founder and CEO Bill Hobin in a press release. “We are extremely honored to partner with Tony to continue to push our simple message forward. Tony Hawk is not only a legend in the skating and business world, but also an inspiration to all of us to set goals, practice hard and live life to its fullest potential. We are lucky to have him as a brand ambassador and guest at one of our facilities.”

Founded in 1994 and based in Santa Monica, Calif., WWG acquires, develops and manages self-storage facilities in 16 states. Its operating portfolio comprises about 14 million net rentable square feet.
