Many self-storage operators have embarked on property expansions in the past year as their units filled up and demand increased. But just adding new inventory doesn’t mean the space will magically be rented. You need to get the word out and actively market those new units! If you have a waiting list, that’s great. Most often, though, it takes active promotion.

Read these interesting suggestions and add your own ideas. If you build it, tenants may come, but not if you don’t tell them about it!
