Manhattan Mini Storage Sponsors Renowned Drag Queen Alexis Michelle as Big Apple Circus Ringmaster

Manhattan Mini Storage, which operates 17 self-storage facilities throughout New York City (NYC), is sponsoring renowned drag queen and singer Alexis Michelle as a guest ringmaster for Big Apple Circus this month. The performer will appear Jan. 23 at NYC’s Lincoln Center.

The circus, which features a variety of acrobats, jugglers and comedians as well as rescued dogs, cats and horses, was featured last fall in a Manhattan Mini commercial titled “Family Balancing Act,” viewable on YouTube. Opened in New York in 1977, it came under new ownership in February 2017.

A Native New Yorker, Michelle appeared in a 2018 ad campaign by the storage operator titled “Manhattan Mini Stories,” a series of short films based on actual tenant experiences and interpreted by a cast of local performers. Her video, “Storin’ Alive,” can be viewed on Self-Storage TV.

Michelle performs globally and can be seen on reality show “Drag Me Down the Aisle,” on TLC. She gained international fame with her top-five finish in the ninth season of “RuPaul's Drag Race,” a reality competition show airing on VH1. Michelle earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Michigan, and has performed in off-Broadway productions.

Founded in 1978, Manhattan Mini offers traditional self-storage, a shuttle service, a moving concierge and valet storage. It also accepts packages on behalf of its customers. It’s part of the Edison Properties network of businesses, which include executive offices and pre-built suites, The Hippodrome office building, and The Ludlow, a luxury residential high-rise on the Lower East Side.
