Self-Storage Talk, the official forum of Inside Self-Storage and the industry’s largest online community, has announced the winners of its 2015 “Loving Las Vegas” Video Challenge in which facility managers and owners vied for a free trip to the Inside Self-Storage World Expo, April 6-9, in Las Vegas. To enter, participants were asked to submit a one- to three-minute video in which they attempted to convince contest judges why they should be sent to the ISS Expo this year.
The grand-prize winner is Todd Riordan, owner of Happy Happy Self Storage in Columbus, Ind. Riordan’s video featured his two daughters, who told the story of the family’s journey toward facility ownership and how they’ll continue the legacy of this budding business. Riordan will receive roundtrip airfare to Las Vegas, a three-night stay at the Paris Hotel & Resort, a Premium Education Package for the expo, and a Total Self-Storage Solutions 2015 DVD package from the Inside Self-Storage Store containing copies of all standard education sessions recorded at the event. The approximate prize value is $2,400.
Three additional winners were named:
- Second place: Scott Simon, a resident manager at A1 U Store It in St. Louis, will also receive a “Total Self-Storage Solutions 2015: Education 45-Pack” from the ISS Store.
- Third place: Ashley Dawn, a manager for A Plus Storage of Tennessee LLC, will receive a “Manager Essentials 2015: Education 18-Pack” DVD package from the ISS Store.
- Honorable mention: Ekaterina (Kate) Razdobudova, manager Longwood Storage Co. in Brookline, Mass., will receive a “Self-Storage Management 2015: Education 6-Pack” DVD package from the ISS Store.
