Self-Storage Operator Wins $1K in ISS World Expo Passport Program

An attendee at the 2018 Inside Self-Storage (ISS) World Expo won a $1,000 gift card yesterday for visiting six specific exhibitor booths as part of the event’s new Passport Program. The campaign invited show participants to visit First Business Bank, ISS, Live Oak Bank, PTI Security Systems, Store Here Management and Tenant Property Protection during expo-hall hours, collecting stamps on a game card. Once all stamps were collected, the completed passports were turned in for a raffle.

Bruce Knoernschild, co-owner of Parkville Self-Storage in Parkville, Mo., was announced the winner at 3 p.m. in the ISS booth. Knoernschild and his wife, Sandra, were attending their first ISS Expo. Parkville Self-Storage has operated as a family-owned business north of Kansas City, Mo., for 19 years.

Only registered attendees age 18 or older were eligible to win. The winner had to be present to claim his prize.

Now in its 27th year, the ISS World Expo kicked off on April 3 and concludes today at the Paris Hotel & Resort in Las Vegas. Created for self-storage owners, managers, developers, investors and suppliers, the expo is the industry’s largest conference and tradeshow, comprising four days of education, exhibits and networking opportunities. The event focuses on strategies for generating revenue, best practices, current trends, and new products and services.

Next year’s expo will be held April 1-4, 2019, at The Mirage Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
