Inside Self-Storage (ISS) has released a new online slideshow that shares strategies for avoiding rent defaults and collecting rent from past-due tenants. “Go Get That Rent! A Self-Storage Manager's Guide to Collecting Money and Avoiding Defaults” offers insight and tips for facility managers, for whom collections can be a time-intensive and often stressful chore.
The presentation features advice from self-storage experts Pamela Alton and Bob Copper. Alton is the owner of Mini-Management Services, a nationwide manager-placement service that has specialized in self-storage staffing since 1991. She also conducts facility audits and inspections, manager training, and feasibility studies. Coper is the owner and partner in charge at Self Storage 101, an industry consulting firm that assists facility owner/operators and managers in developing more effective operational systems.
Both contributors will be speaking live at the Inside Self-Storage World Expo in Las Vegas, April 6-9, at the Paris Hotel & Resort. Alton will be presenting a seminar titled Goal-Setting and Career-Development for Self-Storage Managers on Tuesday, April 7. Copper will present the Owner/Operator Executive Workshop on Thursday, April 9.
