Inside Self-Storage (ISS) has released a new podcast about interacting with self-storage tenants and handling conflicts. Part of the “Sounds of Storage” series, the six-minute recording features an interview with Carol Mixon Krendl, owner of SkilCheck Services Inc., which provides employee-evaluation services, customized training and manager-education products.
Krendl offers advice for handling upset or difficult tenants and strategies to avoid customer-service problems. She also gives a sneak peek of her upcoming seminar on customer relations at the Inside Self-Storage World Expo, April 7-9, at the Paris Hotel & Resort in Las Vegas.
This podcast and others in the series can be accessed by visiting the ISS podcasts page.
Krendl has been involved with self-storage since 1984, conducting seminars for facility owners and managers on industry-related topics. She’s also vice president of Excellence in Management, a third-party management company that operates more than 20 properties.
For nearly 25 years, ISS has provided informational resources for the self-storage industry. Its educational offerings include ISS magazine, the annual ISS Expo, an extensive website, the ISS Store, and Self-Storage Talk, the industry’s largest online community.
