Inside Self-Storage (ISS) is now collecting data for its 2021 Top-Operators Lists, which will ultimately identify 100 of the industry's leading facility and brand owners and 50 of the foremost property-management firms based on total net-rentable square footage. Once published, the listings will reveal essential company information including year founded, executive leadership, locations and contacts, number of facilities and units owned or managed, expansion plans, and more.
Collection for this year’s campaign is taking place on a new platform called JotForm. Companies that have participated in a previous Top-Operators data campaign should have received an email on June 10 including a personalized link that allows them to update their data quickly and easily. Any facility owner or management company that did not receive this email and would like to confirm its presence in the database should reach out to ISS Editor Amy Campbell for assistance. Companies that are entirely new to the process can create a listing here. Submissions must be received by June 21.
The Top-Operators Lists are compiled annually by ISS staff. Participation is voluntary and open to all self-storage operators. The 2021 lists will be featured in the September issue of ISS magazine and published online this summer. Past lists are available for purchase in the ISS Store and include extras not available in the free, public listings, such as an analytical report, an easy-to-digest list summary, and a sortable Excel file of list participants and their data.
For 30 years, ISS has provided informational resources for the self-storage industry. Its educational offerings include ISS magazine, the annual ISS World Expo, an extensive website, the ISS Store, and Self-Storage Talk, the industry’s largest online community.
