Most self-storage operators have at least one customer who pays their rent late every month. And some of these habitual late-payers don’t come through with the cash until their unit has officially gone into lien status and they finally realize the seriousness of the situation. By this time, the manager has spent considerable time and money attempting to collect the debt. When the next due date comes around, the cycle starts all over again!
