Melrose Storage LLC Aims to Build Self-Storage Facility in Berry Hill, TN

Melrose Storage LLC, a Nashville, Tenn., group of investors and developers, intends to develop a self-storage facility in Berry Hill, Tenn., in April after receiving city approval this week. The company paid $1.5 million for two parcels at 700 and 702 Inverness Ave. The storage facility will be built on .64 acres and comprise about 85,000 square feet, according to the source.

The $6 million, multi-story project is being designed by Stinard Architecture, a firm based in Cartersville, Ga. The facility will be “heavily computerized” and offer climate-controlled units, investor Mark Tarver told the source.

Other members of Melrose Storage are Jewell Hale, Bobby Kirby and Taylor Preston. Hale, Kirby and Tarver are also affiliated with Eighth South LLC, which is developing a five-story, mixed-use project on Franklin Road near the self-storage site, according to the source. The Eight South project will offer upscale condominiums and retail.
