Frightfully Good Stuff

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore ...

It's the weekend before Hallowe'en, and I wonder how many of you will be flitting about in costume, drinking punch filled with dry ice and overdosing on miniature Snickers bars? Ah, it's a magickal time, and particularly so for me. Not only will I celebrate my second wedding anniversary on Tuesday, but tomorrow begins the first real vacation I've had in ... in ... well let's just say it's been a long time.

But before I embark on my week of hedonistic abandon, I thought I'd fill you in on some cool things you'll see happening on the Inside Self-Storage website in my absence. Yes, I arranged things that way just for you. Consider it the best treat you'll get in your virtual candy bag!

First, we've just made available our November e-book titled "Self-Storage Finance: Show Me the Funding!" Click here to download this free goodie.

This week, we enjoyed hosting a webinar on self-storage site layout with presenter and sponsor Trachte Building Systems. If you missed this free online event or would like to watch the replay, you can access the on-demand version here.

In addition, the new online version of ISS magazine will be available on Nov. 1; and it includes not one but TWO web-exclusive articles that none of our subscribers have yet seen! Check them out to learn more about the world of self-storage finance, which was November's editorial focus. You can always find our web edition by visiting www.insideselfstorage.com and clicking on the "ISS Magazine" link in the left-hand menu or the cover thumbnail at the top right of the page.

While I'm away, I've also invited two special guest bloggers to entertain you in this space: ISS magazine editor Kimberly Hundley and managing editor Drew Whitney. They'll keep you apprised of happenings on the print side of things. Nothing like adding a little "fresh blood" to the blog during Halloween week, eh?

Finally, I've planned a little surprise. Check the blog on Tuesday morning for a holiday news story that's sure to be deflightful. (You'll see what I mean.)

So be safe out there, kids. Watch out for the ghouls, goblins and other things that bump in the nightespecially if the sound is coming from inside a storage unit!

And the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting
On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;
And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming.
And the lamplight o'er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor;
And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor
Shall be liftednevermore!
