Storage Giant Ltd., which operates 15 self-storage facilities in the United Kingdom, plans to open 11 facilities in North Wales and North West England, over the next three years, pushing its footprint northward. Three sites in Kidderminster, Willenhall and Witney, England, are scheduled to open this year, with eight more in the development pipeline, according to a press release.
The expansion follows the company’s best year to date for revenue and customer acquisitions, according to Simon Williams, owner and managing director.
“We are proud of our strategic approach to business development, and we are confident that an expansion into the North West and North Wales will further strengthen the company and create more, new jobs for local residents in those areas,” Williams said.
“The North West is a thriving region of the U.K., with individuals seeking personal and domestic storage solutions and businesses in need of secure and convenient storage. This planned expansion demonstrates our commitment to the North West and our firm belief in the strength of our sector. The Storage Giant story continues to be one of steady, managed growth, and we are ready to build on this in 2025 and beyond.”
Founded in 2007 and based in Newport, Wales, Storage Giant focuses on redeveloping brownfield sites and bringing derelict buildings back into purposeful use. It also supports small businesses by offering office space for rent at its properties.
