Pink Storage, which operates 19 self-storage locations throughout the United Kingdom, has converted a blighted parcel in Stoke-on-Trent, England, into a new, flagship facility, its largest project to date. The property on North Street now offers 60,000 square feet of container storage.

“Stoke-on-Trent is now our largest branch in the country and a vital addition to our network,” said Scott Evans, managing director. “As the demand for storage is often lifestyle-driven, our new facility supports our customers’ needs by offering affordable, flexible and convenient storage solutions. We’re also proud to repurpose such a significant site, contributing to the city’s heritage and regeneration efforts.”

The Pink Storage site formerly housed the Minton Hollins ceramic-tile factory, which supplied building materials for landmarks including the Palace of Westminster and the U.S. Capitol Building. The area had become derelict over the years. Referred to as Yak Yak Land, it recently served as a makeshift homeless camp.

Evans founded Pink Storage in 2016. In addition to container storage, the company offers mobile storage and related services.
