Self-Storage REIT NSAT Appoints Senior Vice President of People Operations

National Storage Affiliates Trust (NSAT), a self-storage real estate investment trust, has promoted Pam Valentine from vice president of people operations to senior vice president (SVP) of people operations. She’ll continue to report to company CEO and president David Cramer, according to a press release.

Valentine joined NSAT in 2021 to lead the company’s human resource (HR) department. Since then, she’s made invaluable contributions to the company, for example, overseeing the onboarding of staff from two participating regional operator retirements (PRO), the current internalization of the company’s eight remaining PROs and the onboarding of more than 250 acquisitions, the release stated.

Valentine has more than 22 years of HR experience. Prior to joining NSAT, she oversaw talent acquisition and development for global manufacturing company Jabil from 2015 to 2020. She also briefly worked as an independent executive coach.

“It’s my pleasure to recognize Pam’s significant achievements as the leader of our people-operations team by promoting her to SVP,” Cramer said. “As [NSAT’s] corporate operating platform has experienced tremendous growth in the past few years, Pam has done a great job growing her team and upgrading our human resource platforms and offerings to best serve our team members.”

Headquartered in Greenwood, Colorado, NSAT is a self-administered and -managed REIT focused on the acquisition, operation and ownership of self-storage properties within the top 100 U.S. Metropolitan Statistical Areas. The company operates 1,119 storage facilities in 42 states and Puerto Rico. Its portfolio comprises approximately 73 million net rentable square feet. It's owned by its affiliate operators, who have been contributing their interests in their self-storage assets as their current mortgage debt matured.
