Self-Storage Operator Manhattan Mini Storage Unveils Mural in Support of Climate Week NYC

Manhattan Mini Storage, which operates 21 self-storage facilities in Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens, New York, unveiled a new mural at its Hudson Yards facility in support of Climate Week NYC. The company teamed up with Street Art for Mankind, which curated and produced the large painting by artist Millo as part of the first NYC Climate Action Outdoor Museum, which brings new interactive art to the city.
The unveiling included remarks from local officials as well as a guided tour of all five out-door museum murals that are scattered about the city, according to posts on Manhattan Mini social platforms.
Climate Week NYC is an annual charity event that takes place in New York City. Its purpose is to promote climate action by appealing to "business leaders, political change makers, local decision takers and civil society representatives.” It’s run by Climate Group.
Manhattan Mini was founded in 1978 as a family-owned business. It was acquired in 2021 by StorageMart, which operates more than 250 self-storage properties across Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. Founded in 1999 and based in Columbia, Missouri, it has a portfolio of more than 24 million square feet.
Street Art for Mankind is a nonprofit organization that partners with more than 80 prominent international street artists to curate and produce large murals, interactive exhibitions and live performances around the world to bond communities and generations around human rights.
Born in Pescara, Italy, Francesco Camillo Giorgino, aka Millo, is an Italian street artist whose large-scale murals appear all over the world’s cityscapes. His works feature friendly inhabitants exploring their urban setting.
