goHomePort, which operates 13 self- and vehicle-storage locations in seven states, has rebranded as Outrig. The refreshed identity reinforces the company's mission to simplify and enhance the RV-ownership experience while supporting its continued growth across the country, according to a press release.
The name is inspired by outriggers, which are structural components that stabilize an RV. It’ll be supported by all new branding and a website.
“Outrig is about creating a smoother, friendlier experience for RV owners,” said company founder Greg Kranias. “Our new name and identity reflect our commitment to simplifying RV ownership, so our guests can focus on what matters most—enjoying their time on the road.”
The rebranding process was guided by research and customer feedback to ensure the new identity reflects the needs and expectations of RVers. Outrig's updated website introduces enhanced features, including tools to help customers find the right storage space, a new checkout process and service-appointment booking. It also plans to add artificial intelligence to its RV and storage services.
Last year, Outrig acquired two self-storage facilities in Volo, Illinois, and West Sacramento, California. Both offer enclosed garages, covered and open RV parking, and climate-controlled and drive-up self-storage. The West Sacramento site also provides onsite RV service and repairs.
Launched in 2020, Outrig plans to open additional shops in California, Kansas and Texas. In addition to storage, the facilities provide RV repairs and upgrades. The company also operates goHomePort Rentals, which offers an RV-rental management program.
