Self-storage operator FreeUp Storage, which is operated by privately held real estate investment firm Spartan Investment Group LLC, plans to implement the Virtual Technology Platform by StoreEase Inc., which operates self-storage facilities and offers a virtual third-party management platform, across its portfolio. FreeUp received the first deployment of Virtual Counter 3, the newest product powered by StoreEase’s patent-pending Virtual Management Operating System, according to a press release.
VC3 features a multi-sensor people-detection system that can pinpoint activity within the physical self-storage environment. In addition, it provides lead- and task-management tools that facilitate tracking and follow-up on customer interactions, and a communication assistant that automates customer interactions by sending payment reminders, lead follow-ups and customizable text messages.
“This partnership with StoreEase and the deployment of [the] virtual platform represent a significant milestone for FreeUp Storage,” said Derrick Harris, vice president of operations for FreeUp. “Our goal is to simplify the storage rental process and make it as seamless and accessible as possible. By combining groundbreaking technology with our unwavering commitment to customer service, we’re redefining convenience and efficiency in self-storage. We’re thrilled about what this means for the future of our industry.”
“We’re excited to partner with FreeUp Storage, one of the industry’s top operators, to advance a more efficient and customer-centric operational model,” said StoreEase CEO Josh Boyd. “Every rental and service interaction counts. By delivering a consistent Virtual Manager, extended office and phone hours, and enhanced customer service, this partnership will drive both revenue and customer experience. FreeUp Virtual Managers are leading the way in this transformative approach.”
Founded in 2014 and based in Golden, Colorado, Spartan operates more than 55 FreeUp self-storage facilities nationwide.
Headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, StoreEase acquires, develops and oversees self-storage facilities. It manages 44 properties across 14 states. Its virtual-management platform offers automation tools such as 2 Minute Move-In, DemoSuites, Smart Environment, Virtual Assistant, Virtual Counter, Virtual Manager and Virtual Terminals.
