Irish Self-Storage Operator Nesta Expands Dublin Facilities

Update 10/19/20 – Nesta has acquired the former headquarters of car-parts distributor Team PR Reilly, which it intends to convert into its fifth self-storage location in the Dublin market. The €6 million project in Kilbarrack will comprise more than 800 units and 33 self-contained office spaces. The project is expected to be complete before year-end, according to a press release.

“Adding the Kilbarrack facility to our Dublin portfolio is an integral part of our strategy to provide state-of-the-art storage solutions to our customers, close to where they work and live,” Hefferon said.

Team PR Reilly occupied the building for more than 30 years.

10/19/17 – Nesta is investing €2 million to expand all four of its locations, including the previously announced Kylemore Road project. Expansions are also planned for its facilities in the Deansgrange, Sandyford and Santry areas of Dublin. The projects will add 100,000 square feet to the company’s portfolio, with completion expected next year.

“The investment will mean a 35 percent increase in available space and make Nesta the largest provider in Ireland,” Hefferon told the source. “We will also increase the amount of office space from 25,000 square feet to over 30,000 [square feet].”

5/15/17 – Nesta Storage, which operates four self-storage facilities in Dublin, recently expanded its property at Glencullen House on Kylemore Road. The site has 14 unit sizes ranging from nine square feet to 300 square feet, according to a press release.

“Expanding our Kylemore Road location is an integral aspect to providing state-of-the-art storage solutions to our customers,” said Brian Hefferon, managing director. “Our recent expansion provides rental customers the ability to take advantage of this centrally located facility with the same competitive prices we have always offered.”

In addition to self-storage, the company operates Nesta Business Centres at its other three locations. The furnished office spaces contain business-grade broadband, onsite parking, meeting rooms and staff facilities. “Our goal is to exceed customer expectations and ensure they receive the solutions they require,” Hefferon said.

Nesta is an indigenous, family-operated business that was founded in 1989. It’s a part of Kefron, a document- and information-management business that operates from seven locations in the United Kingdom.
