Oscar-nominated actor Eric Roberts has been added to the cast of Self-Storage, a horror movie from Woodhaven Production Co. and Verdi Productions. Roberts was nominated for an Academy Award as Best Supporting Actor in 1985 for his work alongside Jon Voight in Runaway Train. He has also appeared in more recent films like The Dark Night and The Expendables.
Set to begin filming next month in East Greenwich, R.I., Self-Storage stars Tom DeNucci as Jake, a night watchman at a highly secured self-storage facility. Jakes friends are home from college and looking to party, so he invites them to his work to indulge in a night of sex, drugs, and rock and roll. However, the characters find themselves trapped in an evening of pure terror.
Other recent additions to the cast include Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest) and Jonathan Silverman (Weekend at Bernies, Inkubus). Roberts is set to play Walter, a former black operative with an evil secret. Walter, along with his faithful friend Trevor (Berryman), have some unfinished business with a seedy underworld grifter named Jonah (Silverman). Black market business mixes with pleasure when Jake and his friends stumble upon a covert operation. Actors Tom Paolino, Billy Vigeant, Sera Verdi and Tanja Lynch round out the cast.
"Self-Storage" is Woodhaven and Verdi's third endeavor together. The film has a targeted release date of March 2013.
