It’s been a year of endless calamities, and self-storage operators have faced quite an array, from COVID-19 shutdowns to raging wildfires to destructive hurricanes and other storms. We’ve also seen vehicles slamming into storage buildings (including a helicopter), lots of break-ins, arson, explosions, construction accidents and even bears ripping unit doors off their hinges! It seems there’s no limit on the kinds of catastrophes that can occur at a storage business.
