The wildfires raging along the West Coast have consumed 4.6 million acres and claimed at least 36 lives. They’ve also greatly affected the air quality for millions of people in California, Oregon and Washington. Keeping a self-storage business open under these conditions has been a trial for facility operators in the affected areas. In addition to facing road closures, residents have been warned to stay indoors to avoid the toxic air.
