10/23/18 – Burlington Self-Storage, which operates six facilities in three states, will soon begin construction on a 168,500-square-foot facility in Lake Worth, Fla. The 4.5-acre property at 4829 and 4849 Lantana Road formerly housed a plant nursery and container-storage site. Burlington purchased the property in January for $1.81 million, according to the source.

Construction is expected to be complete in 15 to 18 months. The two-building complex will contain 973 units in more than 110,000 square feet. It’ll include covered, drive-through access on the larger building, while the second structure will be traditional drive-up. The site will also offer some climate-controlled storage and vehicle storage.

Belmont Savings Bank provided the $11.5 million construction loan to the operator’s affiliate, Burlington Self-Storage of Lake Worth LLC. The financing was arranged by Lindsay Feig, analyst, and Casimir Groblewski, senior managing director, for Fantini & Gorga, according to a source.

Founded in 1990, Burlington Self-Storage has two other Florida facilities, one in Oakland Park and another in Wellington. It also operates facilities in Burlington and Wilmington, Mass.; and Derry and Salem, N.H.
