Update 4/6/18 – Police have arrested a second person in connection with the theft at Mansfield Self & RV Storage in which the manager is accused of stealing $50,000. Melissa Burton, 26, allegedly provided bank accounts to Ramoutar for the deposits in the scheme, according to the source.
Burton was arrested on March 25 and charged with first-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny. She posted a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 9.
3/21/18 – A self-storage manager was arrested last week for allegedly stealing $50,000 from a facility in Mansfield, Conn. Dennyson Ramoutar, 35, was detained on March 15 and charged with two counts of first-degree larceny in connection with the theft at Mansfield Self & RV Storage, according to the source.
Ramoutar filtered funds to himself by taking payments for units via a cell-phone application, the source reported. He was released after posting a $10,000 bond. He’s scheduled to appear in court on March 26.
Mansfield Self & RV Storage at 533 Connecticut Route 32 offers individual, commercial and vehicle storage. Property features include access-controlled entry, video cameras, and an office that sells moving and packing supplies.
