Arrests Made in Cordele and Tifton, GA, Self-Storage Burglaries

Police have arrested two suspects in connection with multiple self-storage burglaries that took place in Cordele and Tifton, Ga. Nine units were breached at S&S Storage at 1602 E. 16th Ave. in Cordele, Ga., on Nov. 10, while a single unit was burglarized at Turton Mini Storage at 1128 Felder St. in Tifton, Ga., on Dec. 1, according to the source.

Kenneth Johnson, 30, and Rebecca Johnson, 31, were apprehended in a Walmart parking lot on the same day as the Tifton break-in. Investigators found a vehicle matching the description of one associated with the theft. They’ve been charged with 10 counts of burglary and one count of theft by taking.

The investigation is ongoing, as the couple might have additional arrest warrants or be suspects in other burglaries in Georgia. They also have warrants in Alabama and Mississippi, the source stated. They’re being held at the Crisp County Detention Center.
