Arrest Made in Moultrie, GA, After Stolen Self-Storage Goods Turn Up on Facebook

A man was arrested last month after attempting to sell items on Facebook Marketplace that were allegedly stolen from a Moultrie, Georgia, self-storage facility. Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to Norman Park Mini Storage on Dec. 23 about stolen property. The unnamed victim reported that the $6,500 worth of furniture she had placed in her unit the day before had been taken and was later found listed for sale on the social media website, according to the source.

When deputies visited the suspect’s residence, they discovered some of the missing furniture on the porch. While most of the items were recovered, some had been sold, the source reported.

Zachary Kent Willis, 30, has been charged with theft by receiving stolen property. Investigators are still looking for a second suspect.
