2 Men Arrested for Burglary at Pueblo West, CO, Self-Storage Facility

Two men were arrested early Monday morning for breaking into Freedom Self Storage in Pueblo West, Colorado. Police were called to 469 E. Spaulding Ave. at 1:15 a.m. after the facility’s security reported an active crime, according to sources.

When deputies arrived, they saw two men get into a 2010 Toyota Tundra that was parked outside the perimeter fence, which had been cut. The thieves were ordered to exit the vehicle and detained. The cab and the bed of the truck contained stolen items. One of the men admitted to breaching a storage unit and removing several belongings earlier in the day. They then returned to steal more, he said.

Paul A. Bass, 22, and Nathaniel Crouch, 37, face charges of second-degree burglary and criminal trespass, plus possession of burglary tools. They’re being held at Pueblo County Jail.

Freedom Self Storage operates a second Pueblo West location at 827 Village Circle. The company is locally owned and operated.
