The number of people testing positive for coronavirus continues to climb in the United States, and anecdotal reports show self-storage employees are among the infected. When a facility is managed by a small team, just one sick team member can drastically impact the operation. Everyone from fellow employees up to the owner or management firm need to consider what they’ll do if they lose part of their workforce to this contagion, even temporarily. There will be physical things to do at the site, plus staff and tenant anxiety to manage.
