U-Haul Buys Self-Storage Facility in Little River, SC

The U-Haul Co. of Coastal South Carolina has purchased Strand Storage Center in Little River, S.C. The facility at 3195 Highway 9 E. is comprised of 88,601 square feet of rental space on 8.55 acres. The property includes six single-story buildings and one two-story building with a rental office and retail space, plus 60 RV- and boat-parking spaces. Property amenities include outdoor and drive-up storage, trailer and truck rentals, after-hours drop off, and U-Box pod trailer rentals and storage.

"The acquisition of this facility gives our customers access to U-Haul storage in the Little River/North Myrtle Beach area that was not available before," said Steve Redmond, president.

Strand Storage operates another facility under the same name in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and a Mr. Store It in Wilmington, N.C.

Established in 1945, U-Haul has 36 million square feet of storage space at more than 1,000 owned and managed facilities throughout North America.
