StorageMart, a Columbia, Mo.-based self-storage operator with more than 165 facilities in Canada and the United States, has purchased facilities in Ankeny, Iowa; Blue Springs, Mo.; and Omaha, Neb. The acquisition adds 57,381 square feet of storage space and 2,690 units to the company’s portfolio. StorageMart now operates 18 stores in the Des Moines, Iowa, storage market, 37 in greater Kansas City, Mo., and four in Omaha.

"We're pleased with our self-storage acquisitions in Omaha and the Midwest and look forward to connecting with the local communities we serve. We like the growth and economic stability we see in Omaha, and are actively seeking new expansions," said Cris Burnam, president.

The Omaha acquisition marks the company’s fifth property that has more than 550,000 square feet of gross rentable space. The property at 9815 Redick Ave. consists of seven buildings and 401 storage units. StorageMart plans to add upgrades to all of the properties so they’re consistent with its brand, according to a press release.

Founded in 1999, StorageMart serves more than 75,000 self-storage customers across Canada and the United States. The company operates in Chinese, English, Punjabi, Quebecois French and Spanish.
