Man Shot Twice at Self-Storage Facility in Springfield, MO

A man was shot twice in the early morning hours on Thursday near Kearney Street Mini-Storage in Springfield, Mo. Police reported the victim was in serious but stable condition but have not released his name. Investigators are searching for a single male suspect, according to news station KY3.

News reports conflict whether the victim was on the self-storage property at 1602 E. Kearney St. when the shooting occurred or just nearby. The victim went across the street to a gas station to get help, KY3 reported; although police told KOLR 10 News the victim’s car ended up at a convenience store across the street from the storage facility, but were unsure how it got there.

Police are unsure if the suspect and victim knew each other prior to the incident. Investigators are still speaking with witnesses, according to KY3.
