Keep-It Self Storage Proposes New Facility for Grass Valley, CA

Keep-It Self Storage owner Loren Willman intends to build a 32,000-square-foot facility in Grass Valley, Calif. The proposal is scheduled for review this week by the Grass Valley Development Review Committee. The application calls for 12 storage buildings on a 2.13-acre site at the southeast corner of Charles Drive and Loma Rica Drive, according to the source. The target location is down the street from an existing Keep-It facility at 12906 Loma Rica Drive.

Although Nevada County, Calif., is the lead agency for the application, Grass Valley officials are required to provide comments because the property is within the city’s “sphere of influence,” the source reported.

The storage application also proposes three parking stalls placed at the northeast section of the property.

Keep-It operates two facilities. The Grass Valley location was recently updated with new “easy-touch” roll-up doors on all units and an electronic security gate, according to the company website. Renovations also included new roofs and siding. The other location is in Auburn, Calif. Both properties have resident managers and offer parking for boats, RVs and other vehicles.
