A former car wash in Rantoul, Ill., is being converted to self-storage. Owners Ron and Michelle Goin are transforming Big R Car Wash at 1436 E. Grove Ave. into Deluxe Storage. The property will contain 49 units, 10 of which have already been completed, according to the source. The remaining units are expected to be available in early January, Ron Goin said. Another 20 units could be added in the future if there’s a need in the market, he added.

The Goins purchased the car wash, which shut down several years ago, from Ivan Richardson, the source reported. The property is about a block and a half from the Goins’ other business, Trucks Deluxe. Opened in 1996, the business provides tires and truck accessories.
