Arizona Self-Storage Owner Offers Cash Reward for Information on Unit Break-Ins

David Hare, owner of Safford Mini Self Storage in Safford, Ariz., is offering a cash reward for information regarding multiple thefts that occurred at his facility last week. Several storage units were burglarized at the 705 S. 1st Ave. property, the source reported.

The perpetrator has moved from simply cutting the unit locks and is now also cutting the latches where the locks attach, Hare told the source. Because the latches must be ordered from the East Coast, they aren’t immediately replaceable, he said. To prevent further incidents, Hare is locking the gates to the storage facility at night, and may install a camera-surveillance system, the source reported.

The reward will be given to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of any individuals involved in the thefts. Information should be directed to Hare at 928.428.5518 or 928.651.3925, or the Safford Police Department at 928.432.4100.
