Compass Self Storage, a member of the Amsdell family of companies, has acquired a facility in Conyers, Ga., its ninth in the greater Atlanta area. The property at 1144 Sigman Road was purchased by separate affiliates of Amsdell Group LLC and Compass Self Storage LLC and will be rebranded under the Compass name.

The facility comprises 38,000 net rentable square feet of drive-up storage space as well as RV and boat storage. Property amenities include electronic access, truck rental, and the sale of moving and packing supplies. Renovations are underway to improve the rental office and add new security cameras, according to a company press release.

"We are excited to expand our presence in the greater Atlanta area and specifically in Conyers. We believe the improvements we have planned for this Compass Self Storage will deliver an upgraded customer experience as we provide a convenient, one-stop shop for the moving and storage needs of the residents of this area," said Todd Amsdell, president.

J.L. “Chip” Mack III, partner and president of the self-storage division of real estate firm McWhirter Realty Partners LLC, represented Amsdell in the transaction.
