Access Self Storage Helps Raise $56k for Dallas Church Group

In March, students of the First Baptist Church of Dallas Chapel Choir & Orchestra raised $56,000 through an annual garage sale with assistance from Access Self Storage. Each summer, the students embark on a two-week mission, supported by a number of fundraisers. The largest effort is the garage sale for which Access provides free storage and the use of moving trucks.

Dallas church members and residents donate used or unwanted items to sell during the event. Students use Access trucks to pick up the goods and store them in an Access facility. This year’s sale raised $56,000 for the upcoming mission to Chicago, which will take place in June.

The trips, ranging in price from $1,500 to $2,500 per student, have taken place for the past seven years. Access has helped the group raise nearly $350,000 to date.

Access Owner Doug Hunt, a member of First Baptist Church and a choir leader, said his company’s involvement is a way to give back to the group that was an important part of his childhood. For more information, e-mail [email protected].
