Storage Asset Management (SAM), a property-management and consulting firm for the self-storage industry, donated $25,000 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which specializes in childhood cancers and pediatric diseases. SAM employees chose St. Jude to be the beneficiary of a year-end holiday fundraiser. The company’s managed facilities collected donations from community members, while corporate-office staff participated in an online initiative, according to a press release.
Founded in 1962 by entertainer Danny Thomas, St. Jude is a research and treatment facility that focuses on catastrophic diseases that affect children such as leukemia and other cancers. No child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay, the release stated.
“I am in awe of the generosity of the communities we serve and the dedication and good will of SAM employees,” said Alyssa Quill, CEO of SAM. “It is such a powerful testimony to the strength of local communities and our teammates.”
Headquartered in York, Pennsylvania, SAM manages more than 530 facilities nationwide. The company employs 865 people.
