San Diego Self Storage Launches Drive to Benefit Homefront San Diego

San Diego Self Storage (SDSS) is launching a collection drive to benefit Homefront San Diego, a non-profit organization that provides active military families with assistance.

The collection will run June 1-30 at all 16 SDSS self-storage facilities. The public is invited to drop off items which are in constant need by military families including gently used furniture such as dining tables and chairs, end tables, dressers, lamps; and baby items such as new packages of diapers and wipes, baby shampoo and lotion, gently used childrens clothing, cribs and mattresses, and new car seats. In addition, gift cards are needed. These can include grocery and gas cards in any denomination.

"It came to our attention that theres an increasing number of military personnel who have been relocated to San Diego from active duty who have immediate needs that cannot be filled through traditional military channels. Its our goal to help fulfill those needs by providing easy access to drop-off points throughout the county, said Steven Teixeira, director of property management. We welcome participation from the general public to donate items as large as furniture to as small as bottles of baby shampoo.

Founded in 1972, San Diego Self Storage is one of the largest self-storage providers in San Diego County with a network of 16 neighborhood self-storage facilities, and additional facilities in Los Angles and Orange County.
