Outbox Self Storage Supports Piedmont Animal Rescue of Mooresville, NC

Outbox Self Storage, which operates five facilities in the Carolinas, is supporting Piedmont Animal Rescue (PAR) in Mooresville, N.C., with donations of cash and pet-related products. Kimberly Sze, manager of the Mooresville facility, recently delivered a $744 check along with crates, leashes, beds and food to PAR Development Director Donald Gullett, according to the source.

Sze collected the supplies at her self-storage facility over the last three months, with Outbox donating a portion of its rental fees to the cause. She became involved with the nonprofit after driving past its office on Waterlynn Road on her way to and from work. When she stopped to learn more about the organization, she determined it would be the perfect recipient for her company’s charitable program, which encourages staff support of local causes, Sze told the source.

Each Outbox facility supports one community program per quarter. FeedNC, a local food pantry, was the beneficiary of its last campaign. The Mooresville/Lake Norman Christian Mission will be the next recipient.

PAR has experienced a slowdown in donations due to COVID-19, but the number of homeless animals is still on the rise, Gullett said. “We are so grateful to Outbox for this generous donation. We are extremely appreciative of the money and the supplies.”

To date, PAR has rehomed 3,456 animals. In addition to the rescue, rehabilitation and adoptions of cats, dogs, hamsters, rabbits and other pets, the nonprofit operates a food bank.

Founded in 2015 and based in Charlotte, N.C., Outbox operates facilities in Charlotte, Hickory and Mooresville, N.C., and Surfside Beach, S.C.
