Westy Self Storage of East Northport, N.Y., is a hosting a donation drive to benefit General Needs Ltd., a nonprofit that assists homeless U.S. veterans. Donations of basic living items, such as blankets, clothing, toiletries and towels, will be accepted through Feb. 27 at 4049 Jericho Turnpike.

“It’s hard for many people to imagine living without the everyday necessities. Our veterans deserve more. Help us to help those who have served our great nation,” said Lonnie Sherman, president of General Needs. “We are deeply grateful for Westy’s support and commitment to the community and those in need.”

“It is with great pride that we assist General Needs,” said Tim Mincin, district director for Westy’s East Northport property. “It is important to the Westy family to provide assistance to those in need, especially those who have given so much for our country.”

Founded in 1990, Westy Self Storage is headquartered in Stamford, Conn. It operates four facilities in Connecticut, four in New Jersey and seven in New York.
