Entreposage Montreal Mini-Storage, which operates 20 self-storage facilities in Quebec, Canada, is joining forces with neighboring businesses Crown Movers and Café Olimpico to collect toys for Montreal Children’s Hospital and furniture for The Welcome Collective. Donations will be accepted at specific Entreposage sites until Dec. 18 and Dec. 23, respectively, according to a press release.
Unwrapped toys can be dropped off at 700 Rue Hodge in Ville Saint-Laurent and 2707 Dollard Ave. in Lasalle. Lightly used furniture will also be accepted at the Rue Hodge site, where they’ll be stored in a unit until distribution. Crown Movers will transport the items on Dec. 24 to Welcome Collective, a Montreal-based organization dedicated to supporting refugee claimants as they begin rebuilding their lives in the city.
Donors will receive gift cards from all three companies. Additionally, each organization has pledged a $1,000 cash donation to both charities and is encouraging other local businesses to join in the spirit of giving, the release stated.
“We’re delighted to support our neighbors and make the holiday season a little brighter for those who need it most,” said Simon Berman, cofounder and CEO of Entreposage.
Founded in 2004, Entreposage is a subsidiary of Avenir Properties, a Canadian real estate group that specializes in the development and management of commercial and industrial properties. The company’s self-storage portfolio comprises more than 10,000 units.
