Absolute Self Storage of Thousand Palms, California, is partnering with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) to collect toys for local children in need this holiday season. As part of the “CHiPs For Kids” annual toy drive, Absolute’s facility at 72450 Varner Road is serving as a drop-off location for new, unwrapped toy donations through Dec. 20, according to a press release.

Everyone who contributes will be entered into a raffle to win one of five gift cards, ranging from $20 to $50, including some for Amazon and Starbucks. The CHP will distribute the gifts to children throughout the state, the release stated.

“We are very excited to participate in this toy drive with the CHP and hope to provide happiness and cheer to many children in the area,” said Anita Pierce, site manager for the Thousand Palms facility.

Absolute is managed by Orange County, California-based Platinum Storage Group, which owns or manages 35 self-storage facilities in nine states. Founded in 1999, Platinum also has 20 properties in its acquisition and development pipeline, according to the source.
