The Investment Real Estate Group of Companies (IREGC), which specializes in self-storage construction and management and operates the Moove In Self Storage brand, announced that its chief of staff, Mary Beth Ching, has been named a “2024 Woman of Influence” by the “Central Penn Business Journal.” The award is given to high-achieving women for their career accomplishments. Honorees are selected based on professional experience, community involvement and a commitment to mentoring, according to a press release.
Ching joined IREGC in 2021. In her role, she partners with leadership to maintain the company’s culture and core values, in part by coordinating team events. She also works with investors, vendors, financial institutions, partners, state boards and member associations in the local community and nationwide.
Ching is a board member of the Appell Center for the Performing Arts of York, Pennsylvania. She’s also been a longtime advocate in LGBTQ+ affairs, having helped to create, promote, coordinate and run “Pride Night for the York Revolution” from 2017 to 2019. Ching served on the board of “The Black and White Party” from 2007 to 2013, raising funds and support for HIV/AIDS-related organizations and causes in Central Pennsylvania.
Born in Rutland, Vermont, Ching moved to York to further her education. She earned a bachelor’s degree from York College. She resides in the city with her daughters.
“As a true professional in the workplace and a person who gives so much to help others, we couldn’t think of a more worthy honoree,” said IREGC CEO John Gilliland. “Mary Beth approaches every aspect of her life with a tremendous positive outlook. We’re incredibly lucky to have her as part of our IREGC team.”
