North Carolina Self Storage Association Hosts Webinar on Social Media

The North Carolina Self Storage Association and SMD Software Inc. will host a free webinar on June 8, 11 a.m. ET, titled "Making Social Media Work for You." Open to self-storage owners and managers throughout North Carolina, the webinar will address the use of various social-media platforms in the self-storage industry including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, blogs, QR codes and LinkedIn. The presenters will explain how to get involved, how to create a page/footprint, and how to effectively network to advertise a business.

The webinar will be presented by Patti Thomas and March Chase. Thomas is the district manager for All About Storage/Absolute Storage Management Inc., which has three North Carolina locations. She has been in the self-storage business since 2003 and currently serves on the NCSSA Board of Directors. Chase is the owner of Southeast Management Co., which provides consulting and management services for independent self-storage properties.

SMD Software, the provider of SiteLink self-storage management software, is hosting a series of webinars in 2011 with content tailored to the requests of self-storage owners, managers and accountants.

The cost to attend the June 8 webinar is $10 per portal. Registration can be completed at www.ncssaonline.org. Users should choose Webinars from the Attend menu at the top of the Web page.
