Arizona Self Storage Association Announces 2022-23 Leadership Team, Board Members

The Arizona Self-Storage Association (AZSSA), the trade association that represents self-storage industry professionals in Arizona, recently announced its 2022-2023 leadership and re-elected board members. The new team comprises:

  • President: Jeff Gorden, The Gorden Cos.

  • Vice president: Ray McRae, Arizona Mini Storage Management Co.

  • Treasurer: Whitney Jurjevich, Ameri-Park RV & Boat Storage

  • Secretary: Carol Mixon, SkilCheck Services

Re-elected board members include David Brown, Wentworth Property Co.; Matt Hall, Stadium Properties; Belinda Rosthenhausler, CDC Small Business Finance; and Chris Rudel, The Rudel Co.

“It’s wonderful to have our incumbents back on the board again. The last couple of years we have seen the industry as well as the world change,” said executive director Amy Amideo. “This board has done a remarkable job by drawing upon the new board members and the experienced wisdom to create a cohesive and engaged dynamic that truly looks out for our members. I am proud to brag about the board when I meet nationally with other executive directors.”

Additional returning board members include James Appleton, MiniCo Insurance Agency; Poppy Behrens, MiniCo, Inc.; Anne Mari DeCoster, Storelocal; David Grapsas, United Structural Design; Korey Hanson, Professional Self Storage Management; Alonna Ross, StorageAuctions.com; Lee Starrett, Kiwi II Construction; and Tarik Williams, TLW Construction.

Founded in 1996, AZSSA comprises more than 630 member facilities owned by approximately 320 owner/operators and more than 130 vendor members. Services include a legislative watch and legal resources, communications, an online facility and vendor search, education events and networking, and an annual conference and tradeshow.
