In March, Shurgard agreed to its own acquisition by industry rival Public Storage of Glendale, Calif., in a $3.2 billion deal. At the time, Shurgard employeed about 200 at its headquarters on Lake Union; and Public Storage said it would cut an unspecified number of personnel.
