Buchanan Kicks Off 6th Annual Fundraiser

On Sept. 15, Buchanan Storage Capital will host its sixth annual "Buchanan Challenge for Children" event to raise money for United Way's Success By 6 (SB6) program. This year's undertaking will pit 48 real estate industry teams against each other in competitions of volleyball, basketball, a kayak/run relay, a surf paddle relay and, of course, fundraising. Last year, participants raised $350,000.

SB6 is the nations largest network of early-childhood coalitions, focused on improving school readiness through community change. Operating under local United Way organizations, these coalitions raise awareness of the importance of early childhood development, increase access to services, advocate for public policies and improving systemsbudgets, laws and supportsto improve childrens lives. In the last 5 years, more than 500,000 kids have benefited from SB6 early learning, child care, parent education, health, literacy and family resource-center programs.
