PTI Security Systems, a provider of access-control technologies for the self-storage industry, has integrated its StorLogix Cloud access-control software with StorageDefender real-time unit monitoring. The partnership will increase data tracking from the facility gate to individual units and provide enhanced remote-management capabilities, according to a press release.

StorLogix Cloud allows self-storage operators to customize their access areas, review site activity, and monitor zones and alarms from one cloud-based account. StorageDefender products offer in-unit monitoring, including motion and water detection, and changes to temperature and humidity. The capabilities of the integration will be demonstrated this week in Las Vegas during the Inside Self Storage World Expo.

PTI manufactures technology-enabled security solutions. Its product line includes access-control hardware and software, wired and wireless door alarms, and mobile-access solutions. The company has installed more than 40,000 systems in 30-plus countries. It is part of Assa Abloy AB, a Swedish access-control provider.

Launched in 2018 and based in Denton, Texas, StorageDefender is a real estate technology company. Its subscription-based, unit-monitoring service is built on an Internet of Things platform with reporting and notification capabilities.
