Self-storage real estate investment trust Extra Space Storage Inc. is partnering with Budget Truck Rental LLC to offer the companys vehicles at select facilities across the United States. In addition, a number of Budget Truck Rental facilities will be outfitted with an Extra Space Storage reservation kiosk.

Under the new alliance, the two companies will also promote each others products and services through point-of-sale materials, websites and e-mail campaigns.

James Overturf, chief marketing officer of Extra Space Storage, told the source the company is excited to partner with Budget Truck Rental. "Our customers are typically facing a stressful life transition, and by providing a consolidated solution, we hope to make the entire process easier," he said.

Headquartered in Salt Lake City, Extra Space owns or operates more than 900 self-storage properties throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. The companys properties comprise approximately 610,000 units and about 66.5 million square feet of rentable space.

A wholly owned subsidiary of Avis Budget Group Inc., Budget Truck Rental operates through a network of more than 2,100 corporate owned and dealer locations throughout the continental United States.
